As a production sound mixer I know that my job is to provide you with clean, high quality recordings - and I know that most of the time you won't hear the sound I've recorded until you hit the edit bay. There's a lot of trust involved there and I don't take that lightly - If we've worked together you know that you never have to worry about surprises after the shoot is over. I'll always do my best to communicate my needs for delivering what's needed & be clear about any limitations - even in on-the-fly, high pressure situations. In addition - my work in post-production as a dialogue editor gives me a more precise definition and high standard for what I aspire to deliver every single time. I approach my job on set holistically - I realize sound isn't the only department and I have a solid understanding of how all departments come together to create. I try to be easy going, show respect and put folks at ease - whether I'm reassuring a director that we got what we need or wiring a documentary subject who's about to bear their soul to the camera.

I also provide audio post-production services including dialogue editing, adr, sound design, custom foley & re-recording mix through Plus Minus Audio Post which I co-own and operate with my partner Tyler Bachert.
CONSULTATION
While most would benefit from some degree of this - some projects necessitate a singular vision. Especially in something like a scripted narrative where the desired end result is something more lush, stylized & specific - in my opinion, this can inform how sound is captured on set in a big way. There are often missed opportunities to achieve a more authentic soundtrack because certain things weren't conceived of early enough in the process. I love to be brought on as early as possible in a project to help develop & execute the vision for your project from both a creative & technical perspective.
